Science Class Community Rules
If You Choose To Break A Rule
1st Time: Verbal Warning
2nd Time: Reflection Book (Student describes how and why they broke a rule)
3rd Time: 7th Period
4th Time: Call Home
5th Time: Office
Science Class Community Procedures
Arriving:
• Please enter quietly.
• Look at the materials list for the supplies that you need for class.
• Leave any other belongings on the shelf in front of the windows.
• If you are the first from your table, get your table’s folders, whiteboards, or notebooks.
• Take your seat and begin working on the “Warm-Up” assignment in your journals.
Leaving:
• The bell doesn’t dismiss you, I do.
• Finish the “Summarizer” and note any additional assignments.
• Clean up your area (table, floor, and/or lab station) and return any equipment.
• Please return the supplies to the cabinets and bins.
• Gather your things from the window sill.
• Please exit quietly.
If you are absent
• Your partner will collect your assihgnments and place them in your hanging folder.
• For every class you miss, your papers will be stapled together and placed in your folder.
• Everything will be waiting in the class “We missed you!” bin when you get back.
• You will do this for your partner if they are absent.
I am here for you
- Treat everyone with respect in both words and actions.
- Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
- Take care of the room and equipment.
- Stay in your seat unless you have permission to do otherwise.
- Follow the class or lab instructions the first time they are given.
